The Townhouse Hotel Ground Floor Refurbishment

The Townhouse Hotel underwent a dramatic transformation from a previous renovation in the 1990’s. There were 3 main areas attended to and were completed in a manner to allow the hotel to continue operation.

The refurbishment included the function room, reception and stairs and the restaurant and kitchen with a new bar with associated external works.

The staircase was problematic as this was an exit path for guests, staff and the general public in case of an emergency. A prefabricated steel stair was installed in one weekend without guests to allow for its use on the following Monday.

MBA judges noted the excellent finish and made mention of the open inviting area for the bar, dining and conference facilities.
