Kooringal High School | ACM Ceiling Removal
ICG was awarded this MW21 contract following a select tender process. Following contract award, we immediately commenced site mobilisation activities in order to execute this project over the Christmas break to ensure no disruption to the school.
The project consisted of the removal of 1400m2 of non-friable asbestos ceiling, make good of existing battens, installation of new plasterboard ceiling and trim, the removal and reinstallation of exiting light fittings and paint to new surfaces.Preceding media coverage of the school community’s asbestos fears necessitated visits to site by SafeWork NSW inspectors, from which zero non-conformances were raised.
OUTCOME
1400m2 of non-friable asbestos safely removed to EPA licenced receiving facility. Works were completed on schedule and without incident.
