Charles Sturt University | Building 229

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Charles Sturt University | Building 229

Charles Sturt University’s Building 229 (Graham Building) is currently occupied by the School of Animal & Veterinary Sciences (SAVS) academic staff on both Levels 1 and 2, with Level 1 being previously refurbished some years ago. Level 2 remained in its original condition and was in need of rejuvenation. ICG were engaged following a competitive tender process to refurbish and refresh Level 2 office accommodation to provide a more comfortable and modern work environment for staff.

The building remained occupied during construction, with works staged across 3 zones. In addition to this, our initial construction program was accelerated in order for works to be completed and site reinstated prior to graduations taking place directly across from the site.

Works were managed in a manner that granted staff and students safe access to existing facilities and ensured the safety of the occupants in adjacent areas. Through careful management, ICG was able to deliver the project with minimal disruption to our client’s operations.
